People don’t like to admit it bcs cringe or w/e but Homestuck really did revolutionize the webcomic as a storytelling medium and I am endlessly frustrated that before webcomic artists could really stretch our legs fucking webtoonz swooped in, set a new, more restrictive standard, and then monetized and monopolized the ever living fuck out of the concept of The Webcomic until it drove away anyone who couldn’t be a professional quality manga artist for free, and now the only webcomics that actually feel like spiritual successors to Homestuck are so obscure they’re basically cult classics that you have to beg people to read.
Like it’s just so wild to be in high school and see Homestuck be like “we’re using like fifteen different artistic mediums to tell this story bcs we can” and be really fucking inspired by that, only to grow up and see basically every webcomic ever have to conform to One Single Standard or fucking perish.
Actually, I realized my real point here: we all need to make our art weirder. Please make weird art. I want more stuff like Prequel Adventure and 17776 and MyHouse.wad and I want it now. Capitalism thrives on conformity. We must be weird at all costs.

I would just like to point out. The ears are pointing forward. The cat’s sprawling out more as the bowl is shimmied as opposed to getting up to try and get out. That expression is hardly what i’d call disappointment.
It’s actually enjoying being gently jostled! Can’t explain why, though. Could be the soothing jiggling motions, like how we sit in a vibrating massage chair sometimes. Or maybe it just sees this as an amusement part ride of sorts. Whatever it is, i can tell the cat is very relaxed and trusting of the person holding it in the bowl. I rate this VERY cute!
“What will you do without new shows” I haven’t watched a mainstream television show as it released in years. I’m catching up on shows my parents liked in the 90s. I’m listening to fiction podcasts with 5 fans. I’m playing a video game the creators want you to pirate. I’m watching a minecraft roleplay. I may not know what I’m gonna do but I’m sure as hell not gonna be a fuckin scab babygirl.
That’s a good point actually. It won’t happen right away but the shows and movies are either going to stop or start to suck big time. There’s SO MUCH already out there to watch and some of it is hard to know about unless you hear about it.
Plenty of older people on this site, and we have watched a LOT of tv. Do we want to start a game of ‘if you like this, try that’?
This is an international site so finding all these shows may not be easy but at least you’ll have something to look for.
